On 3 October\n1831 Adam served notice to register at the Magherafelt General Sessions on\n2 January 1832 as the\nholder of a £10 freehold comprising `Houses and Lands` in Inishrush, barony of\nLoughinsholin. The notice proves that Adam claimed a legally qualifying interest\nin the Inishrush property; it does not show that registration was accepted or\nname his landlord, predecessor, relatives or lease lives.\n\nThe original 1833 tithe page gives Adam a gross survey area of 11 Irish or\nPlantation acres, equivalent to about 17.82 statute acres. A later James Glasgow\noccupied Inishrush plot 29, measuring 19 acres 2 roods 10 perches (19.5625\nstatute acres), but both James `Glasgow-3903` and James `Glasgow-1623` were then\nalive. The revision succession to Rose Anne strongly favours the younger James,\nwhose wife was Rosanna Barkley. Plot 29 must therefore not be assigned to Adam's\nproved son or treated as inheritance of Adam's tithe farm without a further\nidentifying record.\n\nKeep only the proved child edges: James `Glasgow-3903`, Eliza `Glasgow-3906`,\nand Nancy `Glasgow-3907` as Adam's daughter with maternity uncertain. Nancy's\nordinal proves at least four additional unidentified daughters. Adam `Glasgow-1622`,\nolder Alexander `Glasgow-3904` and Robert `Glasgow-1367` are not proved children.\nRose is chronologically contradicted as mother of older Alexander and Robert and\nmust be detached from those edges.\n\nOf the three proposed additional sons, Adam `Glasgow-1622` is the strongest\nworking hypothesis. His proved son James was a farmer of Inishrush, the repeated\nname and chronology fit, and the three males in target Adam's 1831 household can\ncoherently be reconstructed as elder Adam, proved son James `Glasgow-3903`, and\nyounger Adam. Making him\nfather of Daniel by about 1795/96 requires Alexander to have been born by roughly\n1775-78, leaving two unusually short successive generations from Adam, born about\n1758. Rose cannot be Alexander's mother on that chronology. Robert `Glasgow-1367`\nis weaker still: his original 1851 census says he was born about 1778/79 in County\nAntrim, when Rose was about twelve, and places his documented family at\nGlenleslie. No record bridges him to Inishrush.\n\nRetain the parent placeholder `Glasgow-3905` as an explicitly uncertain\nstructural link until the branch can be placed beneath a source-identified\nancestor. It is not a documented person or proof of Adam's father. Do not place\nit beneath Robert `Glasgow-1143`; no record provides that bridge.\n\nThe API provenance resolves the placeholder question: Adam's profile was created\nat 12:11:11 UTC on 16 July 2026, followed by `Glasgow-3905` at 12:43:34. The\nlatter's own biography says it was created only as a research placeholder. It is\nnot a second record for Adam and should not be merged into him. WikiTree merges\nare for two profiles representing the same person. Preserve the placeholder only\nas an uncertain topology aid, without inferred identity or vital facts.\n\nThe catalogue's former top candidates were inflated by exact Inishrush points\nassigned to profiles whose sources provide only County Tyrone, County\nLondonderry, or `not far from Portglenone` traditions, and by treating unproved\nchildren as naming controls.
