PLAIN ENGLISH
This is a court-appointed estate inventory for the late John Glasgow. It says he died in March, but the death-year numerals cannot be securely read in this review. The marginal court date is 4 May 1577.
Margaret, whose surname remains unresolved, is expressly his widow. She submits the inventory in the name and on behalf of Katherine and Marjory Glasgow (accepted human reading m[ar]iory), called lawful children and administrators appointed to their deceased father. The possessive before 'lauchfull barnis' is not securely distinguishable as 'his' or 'thair': a 'thair' reading with John and Margaret as antecedent could support maternity, but the visible letters do not make that direct evidence secure.
The estate includes cattle, a mare, sheep, oats, barley, household goods and clothing. The debts list financial associates. A separate outgoing-debt entry names Katherine Glasgow as a servant owed wages; that description alone does not demonstrate that she is the same Katherine as the named child.

FINDINGS
Image 276, opening lines 7-9: widowhood and the children's paternal relationship are stated independently of executor status. The explicit later 'thair said vmqle father' supports John as father. The earlier possessive before 'lauchfull barnis' remains unresolved as 'his/thair?', so Margaret's maternity is possible but not securely stated.
Image 276, outgoing debts lines 35-38: the rent creditor's place appears consistent with Hirmenschelis; the creditor and servant names remain working readings, not proved family connections.
Image 276, line 38: the outgoing-debt total is visibly six pounds. Other account totals are not sufficiently secure to replace the older ledger numerals.
Image 277 repeats the child/executor/father relationship for Katherine and Marjory, with John as their father. The accepted name Marjory comes from the supplied human m[ar]iory reading of the opening. This is corroboration within the same testament, not an independent source.
The purchased PDF contains images 276 and 277 plus a supplementary view also labelled Image 276. The supplement is an irregular strip marked 396A, with a rubric identifying Andro Hutchesoun's confirmation. It is a distinct estate text, but its delivery alongside John's page is a real association whose reason and possible family significance remain unresolved.
