R-P312

A maintained local edition of the research, with the original sources and assessments.

Using the YDNA results from the Group Time Tree: Glasgow Surname we get the following groups.

Glasgow FTDNA Group Time Tree View source illustration

Group 2 is associated with the ancient haplogroup R-Z209 (2200BCE). This diverged from R-L151 into R-P312 around 4,800 years ago in Eurasia, as opposed to R-U106 for group 1.

Personal match details, tester identifiers and private information are omitted from this public edition; the historical research and source references are retained. Given the other Glasscock YDNA testers in this group and the tendency for Glasscock's to drop the 'ck', the similarity here with the Glasgow surname is likely coincidental.
