Biography

William Glasgow traded as a grocer in Belfast. A notice dated 30 October 1820 announced his move from Rosemary Street to shop and stores at 34 Smith Street, with teas, sugars and other groceries for sale.[1] A Belfast banks notice also lists a William Glasgow among its June 1820 signatories; the signature does not independently identify the grocer.[2]
