Biography
A request by parishioners of St Andrew’s parish in Dublin, including St Mark’s, St Peter’s and St Anne’s, sought a meeting at the Corn Exchange Rooms at 3 p.m. on 27 November 1838 to arrange collection for O’Connell’s Annuity. J. Glasco signed the appeal. This proves a signatory association with the appeal only. It does not establish occupation, age, family, residence, contribution amount or attendance. The 27 November issue is a reprint of the same planned event (“THIS DAY”), not proof of a second act.[1][2]
Research Notes
This proves a signatory association with the appeal only. It does not establish occupation, age, family, residence, contribution amount or attendance. The 27 November issue is a reprint of the same planned event (“THIS DAY”), not proof of a second act.
- The two issues concern one appeal and one planned meeting; the reprint is not a second act. - Keep separate from the medical Glasco subject absent a source linking the surgeon to the Dublin appeal. - Comparison was limited to approved public/nonliving catalogue profiles; no exhaustive duplicate search is claimed.
Glasgow-3927: Possible only: a record-defined 1831 Inishrush John Glasco has compatible name/initial and chronology. No source bridges him to the Dublin parish appeal. Glasgow-822: Possible only: Glasgow-822 is an unresolved identity candidate for the 1831 Inishrush John; chronology and initial fit broadly, but no Dublin/parish bridge is known.
Seek a parish, address, subscription or contemporary directory record that expands J. Glasco and connects the signatory to a specific individual.
