Countries, states, counties and research clusters do not count as a shared locality, and fallback, broad representative or kin-inferred coordinates are excluded from distance scoring. Shared descendant profiles are removed before branch-name comparison. A candidate already recorded as a parent-in-law is excluded. A confident or independently supported parent is treated as settled; uncertain and unassessed attachments remain open to alternative comparison. A different linked parent, an uncle/aunt or grandparent path, and a matching existing child profile prevent an alternative from being classified as a strong direct-parent lead until the underlying tree conflict or duplicate is resolved. A native of Tennessee, Ill., Dr. Glasgow went to the Geneva Experiment Station in 1914 from the University of Illinois, where he received his A.B. degree in 1908 and his Ph.D in 1913. Dr. Glasgow was best known for his work on New York insect pests of canning crops, particulary peas, cabbage and cherries. He devloped several control measures now in use. He worked closely with the State Canners' Association. Dr. Glasgow was a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Sigma Xi, and the American Association of Economic Entomologists, of which he was chief of the Eastern Branch in 1944 and 1945. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Beulah Glasgow; a brother, Dr. Robert D. Glasgow, state entomologist for the State Department of Education, Albany, and two sisters, Dr. Grace Glasgow and Dr. Ruth Glasgow, both of Baltimore, Md. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. today in the First Presbyterian Church of Geneva. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery there.
