Hugh Glasgow (1769–1818) was born at Nottingham, according to Gibson's History of York County, which says his father had settled there. His link on the profile as a son of John Glasgow (Glasgow-2871), who died in 1792, is supported but not proved: the Chester County tax index shows the 80-acre West Nottingham holding taxed to John from 1787 to 1791 and to Hugh from 1793 to 1799, and Gibson places Hugh's birth where his father had settled.

Hugh Glasgow (1769–1818) was born at Nottingham, according to Gibson's History of York County, which says his father had settled there.
