Their 1896 wedding was famously recorded as one of the most fashionable social events in El Paso's early history Colonel Joseph Magoffin Glasgow had a distinguished 30-year military career as a U.S. Army Cavalry officer, spanning from the final days of World War I through the post-World War II reconstruction of Japan.
