John Glassfuird, an Edinburgh slater, is distinct from Rev. John Glasford of Kilwinning (Glassford-289). He was probably the apprentice recorded in 1613 as son of the late John Glassfuird, miller at Dalry mills: the apprentice's master was Walter Murriall, slater, and the 1619 bridegroom was himself a slater marrying Janet or Jonet Murriell.
