for 1840–1841.

In 1851 Robert was ten and living at Lisnagaver with his parents and siblings

He was a bachelor farmer of Lisnagaver and named his father Alexander Glasgow,

record is recovered. The defensible estimate is about 1840–1841 from the 1851

Daniel Glasgow, another Gortereghy occupier, is not proved to be Robert's
uncle. That depends on the unresolved hypothesis that Alexander was Daniel's
brother; cousinship or another close relationship remains possible.

The attached William's reported 1859 birth predates Robert and Jane's 1866
marriage and requires separate birth and parentage verification.

A different Robert Glasgow appears in a 1901 census entry with children
Matilda, John C., Archibald C. and Alexander; that household should not be

The often-repeated date 6 November 1840 has not been supported by a birth or
baptism record. The published Rasharkin baptism transcription has no entries
for 1840–1841.

In 1851 Robert was ten and living at Lisnagaver with his parents and siblings

On 5 April 1866 Robert, aged twenty-five, married [[Graham-21720|Jane Graham]].
He was a bachelor farmer of Lisnagaver and named his father Alexander Glasgow,
