Biography
Robert Glasgow and James Woods traded as Glasgow and Woods and brought an earlier mill-water action in 1842. A July 1858 report recalls that action and calls Robert the father of the present plaintiff, without specifying Benjamin or William.[1] A January 1864 advertisement by Benjamin and William Glasgow concerns premises formerly the residence of the late Robert Glasgow; identification with the earlier partner remains to be demonstrated.[2]
Research Notes
Do not attach Robert to either plaintiff until the singular father reference is resolved. Robert Glasgow of Coltrim is an adult-period candidate, with no evidence yet joining his land records to this firm.
