Biography
Samuel Glasgow, pen-cutter, formerly of Shaftesbury Place, Aldersgate Street, and afterwards Webber Street, Surrey Road, is item 70 in an Amicable Society notice concerning deaths in 1794 (Old Style). Heading dated 10 July 1795, printed 14 and 15 July. Preserve Old Style wording; no exact death day is given. This reported London death conditionally conflicts with the later uncertain or estimated deaths of the American candidates. No supported identity match. [1][2]
Research Notes
A London death in 1794 (Old Style) is reported. No supported candidate links him to the American Samuels or the 1761 defendant. Later American death estimates create conditional conflicts.
Seek Amicable Society membership and death-claim files, London burial and probate records. Preserve Old Style as printed and test uncertain family-tree dates rather than treating estimates as exclusions.

The notice reports a London death in 1794. WikiTree Samuels of the era are Glasgow-2872 (Chester Co. PA, d.1824), 1134 (Cecil Co. MD to Ohio, d.1834), 3063 (Glasgow, Scotland), 1133 (Virginia), 3175 (Ulster/PA, d.1801), 1492 (Moneymore, d. c.1824), 3524 (Kilbirnie 1707) and 3166 (Dalziel 1701). Each either died elsewhere later or has no London presence, so the reported 1794 London death conflicts with or fails to bridge them. No London pen-cutter exists. A link to the 1761 Holborn horse-thief Samuel Glascow (groups 394296692 etc.) is conceivable from London residence and trade but completely unproved.
