One registry. Different coverage.

The catalogue contains 4,564 entries. The atlas contains 4,430 public profile IDs; 4,428 catalogue entries map directly to those identities. Combined source entries and records without a public profile remain separately addressable.

2 atlas IDs have no corresponding dossier in this export: Glasgow-2717, Glasgow-2869. They stay in the atlas rather than being deleted or joined to a same-name person.

The geography contains 4,355 associations with a matched supplied coordinate. The other 403 remain searchable in records. We do not manufacture a pin from a place name.

Imports and reviewed assertions.

All supplied JSON and CSV imports remain intact. The display model is a separate, versioned layer. It carries 1 explicit curated vital/relationship assessment in this build, for Alexander Glasgow.

517 dossiers have an existing maintained conclusion in the archive. Showing that conclusion first does not mean every imported fact in those dossiers has been independently reassessed. Other contradictions remain visible for research rather than being resolved by a guess.

The family group pages use the same parent/spouse graph as the atlas. A group may span uncertain parent links, marriages and collateral lines. It is not a claim that every member shares one proved founding ancestor.

Colour is place. Status is evidence.

Country colour uses the stated location, not ethnicity, nationality, ancestry or proof of migration. Evidence uses explicit status labels and line styles, never country colour alone.

Dates and map limits.

Historical events are separated from later research, genetic testing and associations outside a person’s recorded lifetime. An evidence date remains an association until its assertion is evaluated; it is not automatically a life event.

The local vector map works without an external map service once served with the site’s own assets. Optional street tiles need an internet connection and are attributed to OpenStreetMap contributors. Natural Earth’s low-resolution geographic outlines are public-domain context, not a record geocoder.

Research cases and saved profiles are browser-local. No account, server sync or automatic backup is implied. Export and import are available from the workspace.
