The family lived at Inishrush, County Londonderry. In 1847, John recalled that they had kept more bees there than they ever kept at one time after leaving Ireland. The first secure evidence of John in Ohio is his 1833 purchase of land in Guernsey County. Guernsey County deeds, volume H, page 457 (http://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-89WY-TFPB).
