What the notice says

Samuel Glasgow, pen-cutter, formerly of Shaftesbury Place, Aldersgate Street, and afterwards Webber Street, Surrey Road, is item 70 in an Amicable Society notice concerning deaths in 1794 (Old Style).

Evidence and identity limits

Heading dated 10 July 1795, printed 14 and 15 July. Preserve Old Style wording; no exact death day is given. This reported London death conditionally conflicts with the later uncertain or estimated deaths of the American candidates. No supported identity match. Identity review (6 October 2026): July 1795 Amicable Society notice listing Samuel Glasgow, pen-cutter, of Shaftesbury Place, Aldersgate Street, later Webber Street, Surrey Road, among members who died in 1794.
