Reported events, notices, advertisements and letters. OCR matches need visual checking; place names, vessels and matches to other surnames are excluded from Glasgow surname evidence.
Availability depends on the particular repository, locality, date range and record series. We have not established complete coverage for this collection. Follow each provider link for its holdings and access terms; a missing result is not proof of absence.
Reading the evidence: an index, transcript, provider search page and original image are different sources. A recorded image link does not mean its reading or identity match is confirmed. Inspect the assessment and source page before changing a family relationship. Repository guides checked 4 October 2026.

How to read these notices
Cards lead with the person named in the notice; profile candidates are assessed separately. Birth cutoffs labelled “by c.” are estimates, usually assuming an adult professional was at least 18; open the birth note for the basis. Event groups are broad navigation aids built from each notice’s record type. A relationship filter identifies family wording in the notice, not a proved match to a WikiTree family.

What the notice says
John Glasco appears in the continued roster; the previous page has the heading COUNTY OF LONDONDERRY.
Evidence and identity limits
The linked previous-page heading supplies county context. The list category remains unresolved; do not label him a juror, freeholder or militiaman. The separate UNION paragraph concerning Grand Jurors does not classify this later roster. No bridge to the 1798 Dublin attendee is established. Identity review (6 October 2026): Public Register 24 Sep 1799: John Glasco in a continued roster under the heading COUNTY OF LONDONDERRY (list category unresolved). Several Londonderry John Glasgows are compatible. Glasgow-3927, whose 1831 census entry is itself spelled 'John Glasco', is listed first, but all remain possible.

The roster gives only name, spelling and county. Compatible Co. Londonderry adults in 1799: (1) Glasgow-3927, est. b. 1767, Inishrush, Tamlaght O'Crilly; his 1831 census entry spells the name 'John Glasco', matching this roster. (2) Glasgow-4090, in the 1796 Desertoghill flax list (two spinning wheels), b. before 1772. (3) Glasgow-822, b. 10 Apr 1767 Inishrush, children born in Ireland to 1815, later Ohio. (4) Glasgow-4179, father of 4090, b. c.1747. Glasgow-549 (John, Co. Londonderry, d. 1785) is excluded by his death. The shared spelling slightly favours Glasgow-3927, but spelling in a printed list is weak evidence, and 3927 and 822 may even be the same man (both b. 1767, Inishrush). That
