- TNA RG7/698, RG7/165 p. 15 and RG7/145 p. 83 independently record the 30 March 1738 clandestine marriage of the older Thomas or Tho Bowen, a husbandman and widower of Hempstead/Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, and Sarah Vaux, a widow. The conflicting RG7/73 p. 52 "Thos Osbourn of Redbourn" copy is a copying error for the same marriage, not a second groom or marriage.

named Sarah. Identifying them with older Thomas Bowen LWHR-LR4 and Sarah Vaux
9KZM-PL3 is an evidence-based genealogical conclusion from the preceding 1738
marriage and the later Thomas-and-Sarah Bowen child chronology; the baptism
alone does not prove the mother's surname. The original RG7 evidence establishes
that Sarah Vaux was a widow, so Vaux is not established as her birth surname.
Hollings remains an unproved lead and no new FamilySearch Sarah profile is
warranted.
