Biography
Thomas Glasgow was christened on 21 February 1675 in Linlithgow, Linlithgowshire, Scotland, the son of John Glasgow and Agnes Eastone. He married Jean Duncan on 4 May 1701 in Linlithgow. Marriage date from family records; primary source from the Linlithgow Old Parish Registers needs to be located and attached. Thomas and Jean had at least two sons confirmed in the Linlithgowshire area:

* A son, whose name is not given in the indexed record, was christened on 2 July 1704 in the neighboring parish of Uphall, Linlithgowshire. * Philip Glasgow was christened on 21 October 1711, back in the parish of Linlithgow. "Scotland Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950", database, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VQ48-S78 : 16 September 2021), Thomas Glesgow in entry for Philips Glesgow, 1711. 

Although the 1711 christening record for Philip omits his mother's name, the established marriage of his father to Jean Duncan in the same parish makes her the certain mother. The omission was likely a simple oversight by the parish clerk.

The date and place of Thomas's death are not yet known, but he was alive as of October 1711.

The location is in a different county (Midlothian), and the mother is not named. This could be a different Thomas Glasgow family entirely. Further research, such as looking for land or kirk session records, is needed to determine if this family moved from Linlithgow to Edinburgh between 1711 and 1715.
