An original death column of 28 September 1765 names the unnamed wife of Mr. Philip Glasco, junior, watchmaker, in Christ-church-lane. The junior designation, trade and address make Glasgow-3932 a probable match. If this is the same man, it indicates an earlier wife who died before his 1768 marriage; her given and maiden names are not printed. Do not identify her as Teresa Plunkett.

The Public Register, or, Freeman’s Journal, 20 September 1768, p. 3, image 1050148115, inspected 4 October 2026. The marriage passage prints “Phil. Glasco the younger”; search OCR renders the surname Glafco. Long s is normalized in the reading.
The existing [Public Gazetteer extraction dated 17 September 1768](https://eddiesextracts.com/extracts 1700/pg 1758_74.html) records the same younger Dublin watchmaker and bride. The newly inspected original corroborates the marriage; it does not itself establish 17 September as the exact ceremony date.

The rare name, younger designation, watchmaking trade, Dublin address and Teresa Plunkett support the same documentary person across the marriage sources. Glasgow-3932 is the compatible existing profile. The younger man is distinct from the elder Philip discussed under Glasgow-1241, and must not acquire the elder’s Scottish baptism or 1772 death.

The uncertain father connection to Glasgow-1241 remains uncertain. The original marriage notice does not name his parents. “Younger” and shared trade/address support the existing generation hypothesis without proving the elder’s Scottish identity or a father attachment. Neither Philip should be substituted into the surname-only 1779–1780 watchmaker notices: the younger man’s separately reported 1770 death is earlier than those adverts.
