Mary Ann (Glasgow) Bell

Biography
Mary Ann was born about 1834-1836.
 Based on age in censuses and civil death. 
She was the daughter of James Glasgow and lived at Ballynagilly as of 1866.

On 17 April 1866 at Claggan Presbyterian, she married David Bell of Dunmore, son of Thomas Bell. Witnessed by George Glasgow and David Glasgow.

The couple had an adopted daughter, Mary Anne Bell. Also, a girl Lily/Elizabeth Douglas born abt. 1891 lived with them.

She passed away 2 Dec 1918 age 84 at her husband's residence in Ballynagilly. She was interred in Claggan Churchyard.

Research Notes
I have identified this death record and obituary as this profile because it explains the nephews Glasgow at the funeral.

The funeral nephew Thomas Shirlow is also mentioned in obituary of Matilda (Bell) McConkey (abt.1851-1916) -- this would be due to him being a nephew on the Bell side.

I previously had identified that death record with Mary Anne Bell but there were too many inconsistencies, including:
* the Glasgow nephews being unidentified.
* Robert Andrew Bell (1867-) is born to that other Mary Anne Bell; however he is not present at this profile's funeral and he should be if it were his mother.

Also in favour of that record going with this profile:
* This marriage was at Claggan Presbyterian, and this death was also buried at Claggan Presbyterian.
* There seem to be no civil birth registrations to this couple, which does match them having an adopted daughter only in the census, and no children recorded in the 1911.

James Glasgow (abt.1799-1882) is a possibility for her father although the townland is not right.

No birth record identified for Lily Douglas in the censuses.
