He is not a defensible identity for the William in PRONI T1959/3 whom the letter writer describes as a physician who practised in London and Hull and died in England. New evidence reviewed 4 October 2026: The inspected Belfast News-Letter notice corroborates William’s Killycurragh origin, First Cookstown elder role and death at Sandusky on 21 January 1855. It gives age 55, while the attributed Belfast Mercury notice gives 56; retain both attributed ages. His death excludes him as the living uncle in the 1858 mill case. The earlier exclusion from the London/Hull physician remains unchanged.
