Glasgow-3490 was merged into Glasgow-3481 as the leading identification of the John Glasgow named as father of Jean at Kirknewton and East Calder in 1730 with the John named with Christian Meek as father of children there in 1751 and at Leith in 1755. The former circa-1730 birth estimate for the 1751 father could not fit the 1730 fatherhood; about 1710 is a generation estimate, not a recorded birth. The 1730 index does not name Jean's mother, so Christian Meek's maternity for Jean and any earlier union remain unproved.
