Henry is directly recorded at Inishrush on 11 December 1878, when he was present
at the death of [James Glasgow (Glasgow-3903)](https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Glasgow-3903).
The civil return does not state Henry's relationship to James. No located
marriage, death, census, land, church or emigration record names James as
Henry's father. The WikiTree father edge is explicitly marked uncertain and
should remain a research hypothesis rather than a proved relationship.

Henry's estimated 1850 birth and precise Inishrush birthplace are not supplied
by the death return. They are working estimates only.

A focused search of publicly indexed material for 11 December 1878 through
22 January 1879 found no obituary, death notice or probate item for James naming
Henry or any other relative. The search covered exact-name and Inishrush variants
for the *Londonderry Sentinel*, *Londonderry Standard*, *Belfast News-Letter* and
*Derry Journal*. Full searchable issue runs were not publicly available, so this
is a coverage-qualified negative rather than proof that no notice was printed.

The [original civil death return for James Glasgow](https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/deaths_returns/deaths_1878/020497/7192875.pdf) (entry 138) records the death on **12 December 1878**, not 11 December as the source table formerly said; 11 December is the published gravestone transcription's reading. This is a one-day conflict between stone and register, not two deaths, and Glasgow-3903 already uses 12 December. The entry was registered on 23 December 1878; Henry Glasgow of Inishrush signed by his mark as informant, present at death. No relationship between Henry and James is stated. Read from an image crop of the original entry; the full official PDF did not load in that pass.
