 Asa H. Glasgow was born in Pittsylvania, Virginia on November 17, 1820.
On December 21, 1846, he married Jane Caroline Gardner in Pittsylvania.
In 1850 the couple is shown in the census of Pittsylvania. no children noted.
In 1860 in Laurel Grove, Pittsylvania, the couple is shown with a daughter:
Asa H Glascoe M 38 Virginia
Jane C Glascoe F 32 Virginia

also in home: Nancy H Lewis F 10 Virginia

 Asa fought with the CSA in the Civil War. He was in Company A of the 38th Virginia Infantry, enlisting in 1864. He may have been in another unit prior to that.

 Asa survived, and through the 1880 census of Dan River, Pittsylvania, no other children were noted. Apparently his mother was living with he and Jane in 1870:

 Wife Jane Catherine passed away prior to 1892, as the 1900 census of Seneca, Campbell, Virginia shows Asa remarried to Lucy J unknown, and the record notes married about 1892.

Asa H. Glasgow passed away on December 25, 1903, likely in Seneca, but was buried in Pittsylvania, Virginia.
