Marriage, 1855. BNA BL/0000876/18550802/060 (OCR checked): "On the 31st ultimo, in Monkstown Church, by the Rev. Edward P. Shaw, William James Glasgow, Esq., only son of Alexander Glasgow, Esq., of Old Court, to Dora, eldest daughter of Bernard [?] Shaw, Esq., of Monkstown." This dates the marriage to 31 July 1855. It also calls William James Alexander-971's only son, which conflicts with a son John attached on Alexander's profile.
Son's marriage in New Zealand. Lyttelton Times, 29 Nov 1889, BNA BL/0003346/18891129/038 (OCR checked): "Nov. 20, at All Saints' Church, Hokitika ... Francis Bernard, fourth son of the late William James Glasgow, of Old Court, County Cork, Ireland, and Brooklands, Nelson, New Zealand, to Marisa Victorine, second daughter of Jules C. Malfroy, of Lons-le-Saunier, France, and Hokitika". This shows William James was dead by November 1889 and had at least four sons.
Estate administration. A Landed Estates Court sale notice of March 1891 (BNA BL/0001683/18910327/149, OCR checked), in the matter of the Newenham estate, names "William Glasgow, Petitioner, continued in the name of Robert Pirrie, Administrator of said William James Glasgow, Deceased". Pirrie was also Alexander-971's executor.
