On 8th June 1920 Sara Greer, of Greenlodge, Cookstown, father James Greer, farmer, married Andrew Thomas Brown, farmer of Limepark, Tullyhogue, father Thomas Brown, farmer, at 3rd Presbyterian Church Cookstown. Her husband died later that year as a result of an accident.

DEATH OF MRS. SARAH GLASGOW MRS. SARAH GLASGOW, who died on Sunday at her brother's residence, Manse Road, Bangor, was a director of the Mid-Ulster Printing Co., Ltd, and Glasgows (Cookstown) Ltd. She was aged 78. A member of a well-known Cookstown family, the Greers of Greenlodge. Mrs. Glasgow was the widow of Mr. John Glasgow, DL, JP., Moneymore Road, Cookstown, who was a prominent figure in the public life of County Tyrone for many years, being chairman of Tyrone County Council and Cookstown Urban Council. Mrs. Glasgow also took a keen interest in local affairs. During the War years she served in the W.V.S. and on the local Regional Food Committee. of which she was chairman for a time. She was elected to Cookstown Urban Council in 1949 and served on the Council for three years. During this time she was also a member of Cookstown Joint Water Board. A member of Cookstown Road Safety Committee from its inception, she represented the Committee on the Northern Ireland Road Safety Council. She was one of the first women in Mid-Ulster to pass the Advanced Driving Test and become a member of the Institute of Advanced Drivers. Mrs. Glasgow was a foundation member of Cookstown Business and Professional Women’s Club and a Past President. On one occasion she represented the Northern Ireland clubs at an International Conference of the National Federation in North America. She was a lifelong member of Molesworth Presbyterian Church and took a deep interest in all its affairs until going to reside in Belfast some years ago. She served on the Committee and was a member of the Women's Missionary Association. In her early years she was a Sunday School teacher. During her first years in Belfast she became a member of Elmwood Presbyterian Church of which Rev. J. C. Crozier, M.A. (formerly of Molesworth) is minister. Later, on moving home in the city she worshipped mainly at Knock Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Glasgow was fond of travelling and had visited practically every country in the world. She took an active interest in the publication of “The Mid-Ulster Mail” and up till recently made a weekly trip to Cookstown from her home at Ormiston Park, Belfast. Latterly she was accompanied on the journey by her brother, Rev. George Greer, of Bangor. The funeral, which was private, took place on Wednesday from her late home to Roselawn Cemetery. Rev. W. J. A. Bell. Knock Presbyterian Church officiated.
