Notices give no parentage. Paterson: Nethermains was held by Andrew Martin of Ashinyards; 'Margaret, married in 1728, to a Mr Glasgow' was a co-heiress (Paterson calls her Arthur Martin's daughter, which is chronologically doubtful - more likely Andrew's daughter). Indexed marriage George Glasgow & Margaret Martain, Kilwinning, 11 Jun 1728; George bapt. 19 Jul 1729 Kilwinning. This explains how a George Glasgow came to be 'of Nethermains' and supports the existing parent link, but the baptism itself (not inspected here) is the record that must carry the link.
