Although the structured profile reports death on 17 August 1836 in Ireland, its biography quotes a family Bible entry for a person born 9 November 1808 who died 20 April 1823, and the opening sentence calls him John rather than James. More importantly, the family register identifies him within John Glasgow and Mary Arthur's separate family, while PRONI T1959/3 identifies the Killycurragh man as a probable son of William Glasgow of Killycurragh and Miss Cunningham. The family Bible death of 20 April 1823 predates both the 1826 administration bond for James Glasgow, gentleman of Oritor, and the 21 March 1836 probate-index entry for James Glasgow of Killycarragh. A delayed probate entry cannot be excluded by chronology alone. The family structures in PRONI T1959/3 provide the stronger exclusion: the Oritor man was probably the unmarried son of William Glasgow of Drumore and Anne Rutherford, while the Killycurragh man was probably the son of William Glasgow of Killycurragh and Miss Cunningham. Neither record should be attached to this son of John Glasgow and Mary Arthur.
