Overall conclusion

The Hiltner descendant database uses one Maria, 22 September 1800–5 October 1856, for both families. The identification is not based on a merely similar name: it assigns one database person (I370) both to John and Mary Arthur's family and to Alexander Wallace, and cites Robert Glasgow's 2018 descendant report and the Glasgow family Bible. The public source page does not expose the 2018 report, and the Bible itself records Maria's birth but not her Wallace marriage.

The cumulative identity case is nevertheless now sufficient for a probable merge. The unsupported 1822 estimate on Glasgow-2137 is not conflicting evidence; Maria born in 1800 was 39–41 at the known daughters' births. The Wallace household was at Rasharkin in the same Bann Valley setting as Maria's documented Inishrush family. The daughters were Mary and Lavinia: Mary was the name of Maria's mother, and Lavinia was the uncommon name of Maria's sister. The live WikiTree exact-name audit found no third Maria Glasgow of compatible date and Irish setting.
