Samuel's birth about 1726 and death about 1824 are family-tree estimates. He is currently attached to James Glasgow and Margaret Rutherford as uncertain parents. Neither inspected 1766 return gives Samuel's age or parents, so those returns do not prove this parentage.
Separate 1766 occurrences
The original 1766 religious return for Derryloran parish names “Sam: Glasco” as a householder at Gorteen. National Archives of Ireland, IHP/1/665, original 1766 Derryloran religious return, Gorteen section, Virtual Record Treasury (https://virtualtreasury.ie/item/NAI-IHP-1-665). This is a possible match for this profile, but the return does not contain enough identifying information to establish that it was this Samuel. The same return separately records Glasgow households at Drumearn and Killycury; the William at Killycury may be William Glasgow, but that identification is also unproved.

A different 1766 return, for the adjacent parish of Kildress, names a Samuel Glasgoe at Whitehill and James Glasgow at Corvanaghan. Whitehill is therefore a separate Kildress occurrence, not a second location for the Gorteen householder. No inspected record proves that the two Samuels were the same man.
1753 Drogheda namesake
A 1753 probate-index occurrence names Samuel Glasgow with residence Drumgeerah in the Drogheda registry. It is chronologically compatible with this Samuel, but no migration, occupation or relationship identifies the Irish testator with this profile.
