Biography
Maude was born about 1869, based on 87 yrs at death in 1955, and the 1900 census, the daughter of Silas Glasgow and Bella Loughlin. 

Jenett Glasgow 41 yrs, born Jan 1859, single, nurse, immigrated in 1885, sister Maude 30 yrs, born Aug 1869, nurse, immigrated in 1889, resided in 1900 in Manhattan, NY City. "Dr. Maude Glasgow was a pioneer in preventive medicine and public health. Born in Ireland, she attended Marlborough Street College in Dublin, Ireland. She came to New York and received her degree in nursing from the Mount Sinai Training School for Nurses. Dr Maude Glasgow, a retired
physician whose death has taken place at Central Park West, New York, was the third daughter of the late Mr. Silas Glasgow, Killycurragh, Cookstown, and a sister of the late Mr. James A. Glasgow, Ballyforlea, Moneymore.
Dr. Glasgow, who was 87. was former medical examiner for the New York City Health Department. She took a prominent part in the crusade for votes for women, and for equal rights for women and people of all races. Published: Friday 09 December 1955

One of her books is dedicated to her sister Janet.

She is mentioned in the obituary of her brother Silas, Brooklyn, New York which listed his children George H. Glasgow, Isabel Ingram, and a sister Maude Glasgow.

Several sources appear to say she was born 1876 to these parents; however Silas died in 1875, and Bella Loughlin would have been 53. There are no civil birth registrations to these parents after 1867. Perhaps Maude was adopted? She emigrated in 1889 according to the 1900 census, which would make her aged 14 if she was born in 1875, which seems unlikely if not part of a family group.
