Tamlaght vestry history A 1923 notice invited claims for burial-plot registration and mapping on 7–8 September. The year's report names Adam D. Glasgow on the select vestry and an Adam Glasgow as secretary. Concrete occurrences, but neither is explicitly identified with this profile or his son. The resulting register/map remains unrecovered.

Source Finding Assessment
1901 Irish census, Inishrush; saved data ../Glasgow-3905/sources/census_1901_glasgow_derry.json Adam Glasgow, 48, farmer, wife Eliza, 47, and sons Adam, 22, and Henry, 12, both born in America. Direct household evidence that this Adam and Eliza were the parents of Adam D. (Glasgow-2420) and Henry (Glasgow-2418). Seen as the census website's transcribed data. It names neither of Adam's parents.
1911 Irish census, Inishrush; saved data ../Glasgow-3905/sources/census_1911_glasgow_inishrush.json Adam, 52, farmer, and Eliza, 50, married 30 years; five children born, two living; unmarried son Adam D., 28, born in Philadelphia. Confirms the family; three children had died, unidentified. Henry was not in the household. The ages in 1901, 1911 and 1916 are not consistent and are kept as given.
Irish civil death return, 1916, saved as ../Glasgow-3905/sources/adam_glasgow_death_1916.pdf; PRONI will calendar, extract ../Glasgow-3905/sources/proni_will_calendar_inishrush_glasgow.txt Adam Glasgow, married farmer of Inishrush, 63, died at Inishrush; his son Adam D. Glasgow of Inishrush was present. Probate was granted to Adam Glasgow, farmer. Three death dates are recorded: 28 December 1916 (the civil return, as read in agent_descendant_cluster.md and agent_land_civil.md), 24 December 1916 (the will-calendar abstract) and 21 November 1916 (the will-calendar results table). The civil return proves the father–son link to Adam D. The three dates conflict and are kept side by side; none is preferred until the register and calendar images are re-read. The probate grant does not itself state the grantee's relationship. None of these records names this Adam's father.

Recorded in research/Glasgow-3905/agent_descendant_cluster.md (16–17 July 2026); carried into this file on 7 October 2026.

Identity and family

Unresolved relationship

Do not infer descent from plot 29's James → Rose Anne → Adam occupancy sequence. Identify the 1893 successor and the two men in the 1923 report through civil, church, land or burial-register evidence first.

Identity assessment — the plot 29 successor of 1893, recorded 16 July 2026

The Inishrush valuation revision books (PRONI Val12B; original images saved under ../Glasgow-3905/sources/) show plot 29 (19a 2r 10p) passing from James Glasgow to Rose Anne (annotation 84) and then to Adam (annotation 93) in VAL/12/B/34/10D; Adam as sole occupier in the 1899–1910 book 10E; and Adam still occupier in the 1911–29 book 10F (20a 1r 15p) under the Earl of Strafford, Lord Deramore and Lady Louisa Trench, with no in fee note. The 1901 and 1911 censuses place this Adam, a farmer, at Inishrush, so the plot-29 Adam of 1893–1910 is probably this man (same townland, occupation and period; the books give no age). After his death in December 1916 the 10F entry may refer to his son Adam D. (Glasgow-2420), since revision books lag.

This identifies the occupier, not his parents: no record yet calls this Adam a son of James or of Rose Anne, and descent must not be inferred from the succession.

Recorded in research/Glasgow-3905/agent_land_civil.md (16 July 2026); carried into this file on 7 October 2026.
