About Isabella

Father assessment: uncertain; no present leading candidate. The attached Archibald Glasgow (Glasgow-1097) is chronologically possible but has no identified property or personal link to Isabella. Robert Glasgow (Glasgow-1096) was previously preferred because he twice appeared with David Howe. Protocol 2448 now shows, however, that the John Howe who later became a Glasgow dyer was the son of Peter Howie, dyer, and Isobella Maxwell, not the documented David Howe household. The Robert-David association therefore does not bridge to Isabella's marriage and should carry no material weight in choosing her father.
