Rachel was a proved daughter of James and Mary Glasgow and wife of Robert McCrackin. Her King’s Creek stone gives death 16 August 1831 aged 57. The same plot identifies Robert (died 10 August 1817 aged 46) and explicitly names Ruth and Pulauski as children of R. and R. McCrackin. Robert is therefore the man whose 1817 estate was administered by Cyrus McCrackin, not the separate Robert estate filed in 1821.

Summary of the research
Overall conclusion
Cyrus (1792–1852), buried in the same plot and administrator of Robert's estate, is the strongest candidate for another son, but no inspected record calls him Robert or Rachel's child. Do not attach him yet.
Robert's father is now most probably the immigrant Arthur McCracken (McCracken-2429), husband of Ruth Unknown (Unknown-395112). The evidence is substantially stronger than a tree assertion, but remains circumstantial because Robert was born after the immigrant list and no inspected record calls him Arthur's son. Keep Robert's parents blank pending an explicit heir, son or distribution statement.

The direct-proof targets remain Newberry estate 317 (Arthur, 1812), estate 308 (William, 1805) and estate 758 (Robert, 1817). Thomas administered Arthur's estate; Thomas and Robert jointly administered William's. The FamilySearch loose-papers collection is public but image browsing redirected to sign-in on 13 August 2026. The South Carolina Archives online index was also temporarily offline for its announced August 2026 migration. Neither limitation requires a PRONI request. An heir list, distribution receipt or administrator's petition from these packets could turn the present Robert–Arthur inference into proof.
The repeated Glasgow marriages do not yet identify one generation. Mary McCracken, wife of Wilson Glasgow, was born about 1777 and therefore cannot be the Mary aged 17 in the 1768 immigrant household. William McCracken, husband of Mariah Glasgow by 1837, is likewise too late to identify automatically with the William aged 14 in 1768.
Recommended correction — birthplace, 6 October 2026
Birthplace. The County Antrim birthplace (uncertain) for Rachel, born 1775, conflicts with her father's reported emigration in late 1772 or 1773 and his presence in South Carolina on 16 November 1774 (derivative chronology). No record gives her birthplace. Mark it as unsupported; do not blank it without an evidenced replacement. The same applies to her sister Margaret (Glasgow-3977, born 1773).
