Biography
Hugh Glasgow was born about 1829 in County Antrim, Ireland. His 1852 marriage record directly names his father as Hugh Glasgow, a weaver. Hugh was a 23-year-old bachelor, weaver and resident of Liminary when he married Anne Cushnehan, the 25-year-old widow of a man named Wilson, on 24 December 1852. Anne lived at Tully and was a daughter of Hugh Cushnehan, weaver. 

Anne Glasgow died at Liminary on 14 March 1877. The register describes her as married, aged 54 and a weaver's wife; Nathaniel Glasgow was present at her death. Research NotesIdentity
This Hugh was not the unmarried Roman Catholic labourer recorded at Maghereagh in 1901. He was also distinct from Hugh Glasgow of Nova Scotia, who had formed a family there by 1876 while Anne remained a married weaver's wife at Liminary in 1877.

A Hugh Glasgow who died in the Ballymena registration district on 8 June 1889 was a 55-year-old widowed weaver. He is a strong candidate for this man, but the death entry supplies no relative or residence that securely bridges him to the 1852 marriage, so the death has not been attached as certain.
