What the notice says

At Dunlop-house, on the 22d ult. Robert Glasgow of Montgreenan, Esq. to Miss Rachel Dunlop, daughter of the late John Dunlop of Dunlop, Esq.

Evidence and identity limits

The notice explicitly names Rachel’s father. Dunlop-2144 is a checked compatible John of Dunlop, whose biography lists Rachel’s 1769 baptism. Newspaper date is 22 February; the maintained OPR citation gives 23 February. Preserve both pending original-register comparison. No mother is stated. Identity review (6 October 2026): Marriage at Dunlop House, 22 Feb 1802, of Robert Glasgow of Montgreenan to Rachel Dunlop, daughter of the late John Dunlop of Dunlop. All three people are on WikiTree; the marriage is already linked, and Rachel's link to her father can be made confident.

Contemporary use of the estate designation by 7 September 1802. It supports the 1802 Montgreenan association, without dating the purchase or establishing a family relationship.
