The original register image of NRS Old Parish Registers, Mid Calder 694/10, page 7 (Scotland's People), was read on 10 September 2026. Under 17 February 1605 it reads: James glasgow in muirestoun[?] ane bairne baptizit namit george . W. Georg glasgow Johne smyth Wm[?] [illegible]. James Glasgow is the parent in the baptism formula. George Glasgow and John Smith are witnesses; the third witness is unread. Seen as original image (LLM-assisted visual review of the supplied image).

This confirms the indexed father and the baptism date from the original. The entry gives no birth date and no mother, and states no relationship between the witness George Glasgow and the child; the witness must not be treated as a grandfather. The residence Muirestoun is a provisional reading (moderate confidence) and is not identified with a modern place. No reviewed record supports a birth at Musselburgh, a place given for him in earlier profile material. A baptism does not prove a birth on the same day. The mother is blank in the transcripts and the OPR index, which neither proves nor disproves the attached mother Christina Adamson (Adamson-3318).
