The original testament, NRS CC14/5/9 images 24–26, was reviewed on 10 September 2026. Its selective reading and partly obscured opening yield no secure kin bridge to the 1648 child; the printed Lanark index supplies the Quothquan spelling. Scotland's People separately indexes a Williame Glasgow on 28 September 1648, Glasgow parish OPR 644/1, reference 40/156, with parents Williame Glasgow and Bessie Howie. The index is evidence for this child's event and recorded parent names, but its combined birth/baptism date does not establish an exact birthday. The original page has not been inspected. A different William was indexed to parents of the same names on 24 October 1641, reference 30/298, and belongs to Glasgow-1497. These are separate indexed events, not duplicate profiles for one event; the older child's death estimate still requires evidence.

The 1648 Glasgow child could have been this Quothquan man; the index does not give his age, parents, spouse or occupation. This is a working cross-record identification. The original testament, NRS CC14/5/9 images 24–26, was reviewed on 10 September 2026. Its selective reading and partly obscured opening yield no secure kin bridge to the 1648 child; the [printed Lanark index](https://www.tradeshouselibrary.org/uploads/4/7/7/2/47723681/the_commissariot_record_of_lanark__register_of_testaments__1595-1800_~_1903.pdf#page=50) supplies the Quothquan spelling.
