Stronger candidate
Alexander Glasgow (Glasgow-3118) is the more coherent alternative. He was of the right generation, was married at Kirknewton in 1667, and had children recorded there in 1673 and 1677. An additional child about 1685 is chronologically possible, and Andrew/Alexander/ Agnes recur in the two descendant branches. This is useful converging evidence, but no baptism or testament yet names Andrew as Alexander's son. Search the Kirknewton register after the 1677 Agnes entry and before Andrew's marriage.
