David was born about 1836. He was the son of Thomas Glasgow, farmer, Killycurragh.

On 27 Aug 1857 at Orritor Presbyterian, Kildress, he married Margaret Bell(17), daughter of farmer William Bell of Ballynasollus, Kildress.
