James Glasgow and Ezekiel Glasgow appear in the list of letters remaining in Charlestown’s General Post Office, dated 21 August 1775. Alphabetical entries printed surname first: Glasgow James, followed by a small 2 marker, and Glasgow Ezekiel. The marker is not read as an age. Letter-list appearance alone proves no kinship, occupation, continuous residence or identity with later James records. The South-Carolina and American General Gazette, 1775-08-25, p.1

James Glasgow and Ezekiel Glasgow in the Charlestown, South Carolina, General Post Office letter list of 21 August 1775. James is possibly the Ayr-born James of Newberry District (Glasgow-804, arrived South Carolina 1769); the Kilwaughter James (Glasgow-1144), reported to have emigrated in late 1772 or 1773 and recorded in South Carolina on 16 November 1774 (derivative chronology), is equally compatible. Nothing links either man to the letter list, so the entry is unassigned. (Corrected 6 October 2026: an earlier note wrongly said his children were still being born in County Antrim to 1775.) No WikiTree Ezekiel fits.
