Ann (Hartshorne) Glasgow
c. 1766 (estimated) – 1784
Cecil County, Maryland
About Ann
Ann Hartshorne was recorded as the wife of James Glasgow (Glasgow-2868) of Cecil County, Maryland, and as having died in 1784, the year a Find a Grave memorial gives for her husband's death; the couple's recorded children are Samuel, Hannah, James, Elizabeth, Adam, Ezekiel and William. A 1786 notice in which Robert Glasgow and Joshua Hartshorn were to give possession of 260 acres in North Susquehanna Hundred, Cecil County, is compatible with the settlement of the couple's estate, but it states no kinship, and no Robert appears among their recorded children.

Identity and family
Relationship assessment — newspaper identity review, 6 October 2026
- Robert Glasgow (notice) — possible kin or estate associate of — Hartshorne-320 / Glasgow-2868 family (via Joshua Hartshorn): research note only (WikiTree now: not linked). The notice says only that immediate possession would be given 'by Robert Glasgow and Joshua Hartshorn'. It states no kinship. A Glasgow and a Hartshorn acting jointly over Cecil County land in 1786 is compatible with the settlement of the estate of James Glasgow (Glasgow-2868, died c. Jan 1784 per Find a Grave) and his wife Ann Hartshorne (Hartshorne-320, died 1784). However, no Robert appears among that couple's recorded children (Samuel, Hannah, James, Elizabeth, Adam, Ezekiel, William). Next step: Cecil County land and probate records for 1784–1786 (North Susquehanna Hundred, 260 acres). (The Pennsylvania Gazette, 1786-02-15, p.1)
