The Robert Glasgow sentenced to death at the Old Bailey in 1751 was, according to the Ordinary's Account, a butcher aged 28 born at Chipping Ongar, Essex, who was hanged at Tyburn; the 1754 master of the snow John and Archibald of Glasgow is already the subject of another profile, Robert Glasgow (Glasgow-2867).

Public dossier has a FamilySearch baptism citation for David Glasgow in 1744 and unverified tree spouse/child links; no occupational finding for Robert. The earlier record was not re-inspected in this batch. Glasgow-2474 is the leading possible role candidate because prior research reports a 1738 Irvine shipmaster. That original was not re-inspected here, and no record bridges Betty and Grizell to John and Archibald. Identity with the 1751 defendant remains unproved. No relationship or life-date amendment follows.

Same named case as the 16 July sentence report, but a different reported action. John Young is the prisoner reprieved for life. This execution order does not establish that Robert was executed. Glasgow-2474 (Irvine shipmaster 1738) is a possible earlier/later identity of the same man (merge question), not a separate match.
