Overall conclusion

The corrected reading of Andrew Glasgow's 1597/8 testament does not support the current parents. It names Elizat Stevinsoun as Andrew's wife, Robert as their son, and Marion, Janet and Isobel as Andrew's daughters. It does not name David or Jonet Anderson. Because the surviving dispositive clauses need not enumerate every child, David's omission is not by itself proof that Andrew could not be his father; however, the former claim that the testament positively placed him in an Andrew/Jonet household is invalid.
