She was the daughter of farmer David Glasgow and Mary Glasgow. She was likely born at Killycurragh where her family lived prior to moving to Ballynagilly. See father's profile for discussion of the family movements. The parents are apparent from the Nephews in the funeral mourners. 

On 7 Oct 1880 at the Presbyterian Church of Orritor, Lissan, she married David Mitchell. Witnesses: David Mitchell, James George Glasgow.
