William Gilbert Glasgow Jr

Biography
William was born April 8,1869 in Nebraska (likely Peru, Nemaha, Nebraska). U.S., Veterans Administration Master Index, 1917-1940 He was the fifth child and third son of William Glasgow and Sarah Majors. 

In 1898 he enlisted in the Army in Lincoln, Nebraska. He served in the Spanish-American War and ended up in a disabled soldiers hospital in Hot Springs, South Dakota (Battle Mountain Sanitarium) with epilepsy. U.S., National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, 1866-1938 for William G Glasgow 

On February 16, 1901 he married Helen Whitney at the home of his brother Sterling Perry Glasgow. He had been living in Peru, Nebraska, which is where I feel certain he was born. Nemaha County Herald (Auburn, Nebraska) 22 Feb 1901 p 1 

In 1902 their daughter Alice Elizabeth was born in Peru, Nebraska. She was followed, in 1905, by a brother Whitney. A third child, Joyce, was born in 1918.

Interestingly, on the 1930 Census he said he was widowed (yet Helen didn't die until 1943) and he was a lodger in the home of Alice Abbott. 1930 United States Federal Census for William G Glasgow, district 0015, Fall River, South Dakota 

On April 9, 1931 he married the landlady, Alice G Abbott. Rapid City Journal (Rapid City, South Dakota) 9 Apr 1931 p 4
