Northern Star, 1793-01-23, p.2: William Glasgow (Kildress delegate; chairman) (delegate and chairman of a parish meeting) — possible match. The notice establishes an adult William Glasgow acting for Kildress parish in Jan 1793. Glasgow-2915 (William, reported b. 1760, died Cookstown; spouse Mitchell-48576, Margaret Mitchell 'of Ballynasollus, Kildress'; sons born 1799 Tyrone, 1804, and 1815 at Killycurragh, Derryloran) fits the age and the Kildress/Derryloran district. However, his family links rest on a MyHeritage tree, and the project's findings say no primary record yet proves them. The 1796 Flax Growers' list for Tyrone has only one William of the surname: 'Glasco, William, Derryloran' (the parish next to Kildress). That fits a local William in the 1790s, but it is not in Kildress itself and does not bridge to any profile. Other namesakes: Glasgow-3962 (William, Tyrone, witness 1746, about 68 in 1793; possible but old).
