The Armagh diocesan will index names James Glasgow of Drumcarn, County Tyrone, on 3 December 1807. It is chronologically compatible with this profile but contains no age or family, and a different James had a will at Drumcarn in 1759. Do not assign the 1807 estate without a relationship source.

PRONI T1959/1-8 contains Glasgow-Harkness-Rutherford genealogical statements; D1413/3a-b contains notes on the Glasgow family of Cookstown; and T1762 contains Glasgow family papers and a copy will of William Glasgow of Oritor. These surviving collections have substantially greater identification value than the destroyed probate index and the 1775 petition.

Joseph Glasgow was also a witness to John's 1779 will. This is not yet primary proof of brotherhood, but the sibling count, place and contemporary association make John a substantially stronger candidate for the fourth brother than this profile.
