Familiar forms such as Bessie are normalised. Surname remains an eligibility filter worth zero points.

This placement is narrower than the tests' earliest-ancestor label, Robert Glasgow 1749-1839 (Glasgow-12). A separate reported Glasgow-12 descendant kit, 200475, remains basal R-FT20271. Subject to the accuracy of all three paper pedigrees, FTE32242 therefore marks the James-193 branch rather than every male-line descendant of Robert-12.

On 20 Nov 1817 he married Mary Polly McNeil in Adams County, Ohio. Faris, David, The Glasgow Family of Adams County, Ohio (Baltimore, MD, Gateway Press, Inc., 1990), 39; also listed in DAR records 

They had nine children.

Mary died in 1835. He then remarried Sarah Lyle on 29 Apr 1836 in Highland, Ohio. Ohio, U.S., County Marriage Records, 1774-1993 for James Glasgow
