- Freeman’s Journal and Daily Commercial Advertiser, 1845-03-19, p.1: Samuel Glasgow (farmer examined at Moneymore) — possible match. The Staples estate centred on Lissan, between Cookstown and Moneymore. Glasgow-2054 (c.1792-1865, Gortin, Derryloran) was a Cookstown farmer whose son John-2537 died at Cluntyganny, Lissan, which slightly favours him. Glasgow-1698 (c.1800-1857, Killycurragh) is equally compatible. Glasgow-2908 (Lisnagaver, Rasharkin, Co. Antrim) lives far from Moneymore, so he is weaker, but no concrete conflict excludes him. The Devon Commission's witness heading, which usually gives residence and holding, was not retrieved.
